The Sheridan Story is a Minnesota based organization dedicated to helping children have meals outside of their school setting.
Their ministry provides children with non-perishable foods to go home with on Fridays. This practice originated when the staff at Sheridan Elementary School observed students taking more food during lunch time. They realized the need for students to have food outside of their school setting. Thus came the Sheridan Story.
Organizers began supplying these students with food by placing it in their backpacks within their student lockers. The students would then be able to bring a full load of food supply home for the weekend.
This organization has grown over the past six years and is still growing.
